REGIONAL STANDOFF 2025
Dear Shooters
On behalf of the Smoking Barrels team, I would like to invite you to attend the Regional Stand Off 2025 " IPSC level III competition. This match will take place at the Barbados Rifle Association located at Paragon Army Base, Christ Church. This competition will span over a three (3) day period, from the 202nd August to 24th August 2025. It is always a pleasure having our Regional and International colleagues here on the island to enjoy our exciting competitions, as well as our island's culture.
Below are the details for the competition:
Registration fee: US$ 200 ($75 of this amount relates to firearm processing fees) There is an additional fee of $75usd for the importation of ammunition.

Registration for both PCC and another pistol division US$350.00
Team Registration: US $100 ($25 per person) MAXIMUM 4 Man team (lowest overall score is dropped) 3 man team can also register (all overall scores will be used)
Deadline for registration is July 22nd, 2025
Firearms & ammunition permits: All final firearms information MUST be received on or before 22nd July, 2025 (no exceptions and/or changes after that date)
Stages : 15 (+ chronograph)
Minimum rounds: 292 (excluding chronograph)
Ammunition Cost: 9mm - $25 usd per box
9mm major - $75 usd per box (Box of 500 rounds - $700usd)
.40 cal - $30 usd per box
.38 super / 9x23 - $35 usd per box
AMMUNITION CAN BE IMPORTED, KINDLY STATE THE AMOUNT & CALIBER ON REGISTRATION FORM.
Fired cases: Must be left at range
Unfired live rounds: Cannot be re-exported
Divisions recognized: Open, Standard, Production, Production Optics, Standard Optics, PCC
(subject to Appendix A2 of the IPSC rulebook)
Categories recognized IPSC: Lady, Senior & Super Senior
Function firing bay: Will not be available. Function firing on request (Range Master) only
Shooting range location: Barbados Rifle Association, Paragon Army Base
Range surface: Dirt and grass
Temperature : The monthly average temperature in Barbados in August is 88° F or 31° C
Squading: Timetable
Shooting format (pre-match IPSC): Full day format (Range Officers Only) 22nd August.
Shooting format (main match IPSC): Half day format. Competitors will shoot 8 stages on 23rd August and 7 stages on the 24th August
Shooting order within squad: According to IROA format
Logistics: Food and refreshments will be for sale at the range. Remember to bring sun block and head wear to the range.
Arbitration fee: US$ 100

Please note that the pre-match is only available to Regional Directors, Match Officials, Sponsors and other persons specifically authorized by the Match Director (rule 6.6.2).
Unless there are exceptional circumstances, other persons will not be permitted to shoot the pre-match.
ALL competitors must be approved by their Regional Director prior to commencement of the pre-match.
Stages
The courses of fire will not be published on our website, until July 18th, 2025 at the earliest.
Please note that the courses of fire published here and/or in the official match booklet are not necessarily identical or final, as changes are often made during the official physical course inspection and approval process.
However, all changes, if any, will be completed prior to commencement of the pre-match.
